Emma

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both lawyers. As a child she attended at the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma decided to be an actor when she was six. For several years she was enrolled in the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. She learned to sing dance, acting and singing. When she was 10, she had already taken part in a variety of Stagecoach productions and plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version to J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel was published in 1999. Emma was discovered as a casting representative by her Oxford teacher of drama. David Heyman told Emma along together with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe after having eight consecutive auditions. Emma's debut film was made with the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The film is 2001's top grossing film, breaking records on opening day as well as the first weekend. Critics gave high praise to the film and particularly the young performers. The widely distributed British publication The Daily Telegraph called her performances admirable. Emma received five awards for her performance in the film.
