Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 in 1983. She is an American Actress best known as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Her birthplace was Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school when her parents separated to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. The year 2001 was a difficult one for her, but despite finances it was possible to secure her first big role in the online video show Rachel's Room playing the lead character. She went on to earn an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder which aired in Greenwich. In 2004, Grace was cast as Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost in which she was the main character for the initial two seasons. She was also awarded a Screen Actors Guild Award shared by the entire cast. Grace has worked alongside Tom Welling on The Fog during 2005, was looking to go to film. The role she played was Kim Mills opposite Liam Neeson (both in Taken 2008) on Suburban Girl as well as the Jane Austen Book Club. The actress reprised her character in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern adaptation of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to the Lost series for the last two episodes, playing Shannon. The actress was featured in 2013's sixth season of Californication. The role she plays is Faith an actress who acts as a muse to the stars and catches the eye to Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Being part of the Gyllenhaal Family, she is the daughter and elder sister to actor Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was a teenager She began working on small roles with her father. She was also in Donnie Darko with her twin brother. She appeared next in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win a Golden Globe Award in both the drama Sherrybaby (2005) and in the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). The two movies were critically acclaimed. The year 2006 was the time she starred in a number of commercially successful films, such as World Trade Center. However, it was her role in the role of Rachel Dawes that brought her more attention with The Dark Knight (2008). The year 2009 was the time she was nominated for the award of Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her portrayal of a single mom as she appeared in Crazy Heart. In the following years, she appeared in dramas and comedies such as Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012 Apart from her character as an agent of the Secret Service agent, she was also seen on screen in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). Her most recent roles were as the main character The Kindergarten Teacher The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal was first introduced as a director and writer in 2021, with her psychological drama The Lost Daughter. For this movie, she received the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award.
